PLAY-OFF rivals Leicester and Redcar have confirmed their team selections for this weekend’s back-to-back semi-finals.
Watling JCB Lions, who finished top of the league, head to Teesside for the first leg on Friday with the return at home the following night.
And boss Stewart Dickson has moved to book former Redcar rider Richard Lawson as a guest replacement for the injured Richie Worrall in the first leg.
For the return, Worrall’s twin brother Steve will deputise.
Redcar, meanwhile, have added Jake Allen to replace the injured Michael Palm Toft on Friday with Josh Pickering on Saturday. American ace Broc Nicol covers for Nathan Greaves in both legs.
Said Dickson: “Redcar have selected their replacements wisely and I’m expecting two terrific meetings.
“As we all know in this sport finishing top of the league doesn’t guarantee you win the title so we’ll need to be on our toes. It’s going to be tense but my boys will be ready and our thanks go to Richard and Stevie along with their respective clubs for stepping in to cover for Richie.”
